My brother, he's soo cute :)
My bedroom: always tuck in your mosquito net-not only to keep out mosquitos but ANY sort of creature! Once that was said...done. Nothing else needs to be said.
She's my sister! She lives with her Grandma (my mama) so she can go to a better school-she knows English and helped me with learn how to clean my room this past weekend
This is the avocado tree that my host family has in their backyard. So legit.
My home :)
It's wonderful to read all about your exciting jouney in Kenya! We miss you, but understand that it was the right decision to go and volunteer and experience such an adventure. We are really proud of you and glad that you can share your many talents and miles of smiles with everyone!
ReplyDeleteLots of customers at the farmer markets are reading your blog and asking questions and sending blessings to you!
Kisses from Kirkwood!!
Love you Lots, DAD
Mike and Alyssa would like to know what other animals have you seen? Also do the leaves change colors there? What other things do the kids there like to do?
ReplyDeleteLove you from the K's
Sadly the only animals I have seen thus far include the wildy exotic cow, goat, chicken, rooster, dog and cat with a couple birds I can't name thrown in there :) I'm in a more urban town setting and so they don't get too many wild animals here. The leaves don't change colors sadly :( You're more than welcome to send me some in a letter! I haven't had too much interaction with any kids yet except the 4 and 11 year old kiddos that I live with who are pretty cool. I played snakes and ladders with them the other day and they watch lots of Disney (Madagascar 3 and Ice Age: Christmas are the most recent). They don't have a lot of technology for the kids but movies, games outside and soccer are the most common things I've seen them do :)
ReplyDeleteTHanks for all the questions, they're great!!
I will try to send you some leaves -Mike. I miss you!! - Alyssa Hope your having a great time. - The K's
